YODELLING

Barbara has been steeped in the yodelling tradition from her childhood, when her mother would yodel to her. She began to study yodelling with Hans Stucki, while simultaneously learning the shwyzois accordion under the tutelage of Vreni Gafner. No more was needed to trigger her vocational calling, which would rapidly take on many forms: head chorister, accordionist, teacher and stage artist.

Originally from Bernese Oberland, she is today one of the driving forces of traditional Helvetic music. During her numerous concerts, both in Switzerland and abroad, she enriches traditional yodelling with her creativity, expression and irresistible charisma.

Under her guidance, students will explore their head and chest voices through corporal movements, as well as breathing techniques. They will discover the different styles of Swiss yodelling.
