AFRICAN DANCE

George MOMBOYE learnt traditional dance in his village in Ivory Coast. He went on to complete his training in Afro-contemporary dance, tour internationally with diverse dance companies and lead workshops. Drawing on the traditional Ivory Coast repertoire, his classes focus on listening to rhythms and the interior elements of movement. Linked exercises lead to choreographies, which are threaded through with stories.
