Laurent Aubert, founder of the Ateliers d’ethnomusicologie and former curator at MEG, was recently recognised for his services to world music by the city of Geneva with the prize for culture and society. He likes to share his passion whether it be through musical practice, fieldwork, curating exhibitions, organising festivals or publishing writings, music and scientific works. Conversing with his colleague and friend Madeleine Leclair, ethnomusicologist and MEG curator, he evokes certain recollections and shares his experiences of cultural diversity.
