Salar Aghili is one of those artists who can inspire the most intense emotions. With his supple and clear voice, this singer breathes a rare passion into his majestic melodic flights. Originally from Tehran, he developed a particular gift for song very early on, which reached full maturity under the great masters such as Mohammad Reza Sharjarian. Wonderfully accompanied by the kamancha, the tar and traditional percussion, he renders service to sung-poetry – a secular art ripe with possibilities ­– through his extraordinary vocals and the most delicate phrasing.
