In Brazil, the orixás or spirits of African ancestors appear during the candomblé ceremonies dancing to the rhythms of the drums, bell and songs. These dances comprise real memories: they recount the myths that have accompanied slaves during centuries of resistance and witness the trials endured by the people who make up black Brazil. The Itàn Jó company invites you to explore this universe, facilitated by a set design that integrates the work of travel photographer Pierre Verger.
