Both dance and martial art, capoeira sinks its roots into its African heritage. It finds its origins in the arrival of Bantu slaves in Brazil. Each capoeira school developed its own techniques, which blend ancestral rhythms, wrestling and camouflage. Antonio Braga is from Rio de Janeiro and is a member of the famous Capoeira Angola School of Master Pastinah in Salvador de Bahia, as well as an ADEM teacher. He presents a demonstration of this art through movement, song and the sounds of the famous musical bow birimbau.
