Vovó Egbomi Cici is not only an initiate of Gantois terreiro in Bahia, but also a storyteller, notably with the Pierre Vergre Foundation of Salvador de Bahia. With the help of the anthropologist Larissa Fontes, she evokes for us the world of orixás, the divinities of candomblé, and the manner in which they perpetuate the memory of Afro-Brazilian culture. The presence of two voices allows us to better understand the codes and practices of the candomblé ceremony.
