Seikou Keita is a Senegalese artist, singer and kora player. Born in Casamance, in the south of Senegal, but today residing in England, he is looking to renew his musical language by integrating original compositions and new sounds, which are the results of an encounter with the Egyptian violinist Samy Bishai, the Italian bassist Davide Mantovani and the Gambian percussionist Surahata Susso. These four musicians have made a unique sound, where emotion and creativity are brought to the fore. Seikou is also involved in the Red Cross’ humanitarian movement, to which he contributes part of the profits from his last CD, The Silimbo Passage, which was praised by critics for the creativity of its approach.

in partnership with the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC)
