Colombian Brass band

Palenque is a smaller form of the banda papayera, a typical brass band from the Colombian Caribbean. Its music explores cumbia, porro and fandango - the main genres of music from the region. Palenque performs regularly and its nine musicians come from very different backgrounds. This amalgam gives an original colour to the music, which is creative and festive.
