Udai Mazumdar’s Singing Strings gives ancient Indian vocal forms such as the thumri and dhun a contemporary interpretation.  Classical compositions combine with recent creations to renew these styles.  The group’s unique interaction is driven by the virtuoso tabla of Udai.
