The film Music of the Aegean Sea was filmed in autumn 1998, between Çameli, Acipayam and Hisar.  The story is simple: Hayri Dev decides to visit his old friend the violinist Akkulak in order to return with him to his village.  Together, they reignite the party spirit of their youth – something that they call yaranlik, which comes from the Persian word yar - friend or loved one.  The result is a rustic road movie, which unravels in the sumptuous countryside setting and is sewn with episodes that reflect this universe of Turkmen of the West.
