The second part of the programme presents an Alevi cem (pronounced djem) - a ceremony that combines music and dance. A particularity of this dance is the bringing together of men and women in the same spiritual momentum. Men and women dance and twirl to the sound of mystical songs accompanied by the bağlama (lute). These dances reflect the movement of the planets around the sun.

From a prestigious spiritual line, Dertli Divani is one of the most remarkable aşık of his generation. He combines the Alevi faith and his status as contemporary poet and artist with verve. A descendant of prestigious heritage, which allows his to direct the cem, he has composed numerous poems in which he evokes the quest for the truth, the separation from the divine or even earthly exile.
