Ahirkapi, located close to the Blue Mosque, is the name of a quarter in Istanbul where three generations of Gypsy have lived. The musical culture is abundant and all children who come from Ahirkapi are called on to play instruments to accompany the community's major life moments. Their music is an astonishing synthesis between Balkan Gypsy and Eastern elements. It throws us into a festive and colourful quarter full of remarkable musical spontaneity.
