El Vinal invites us to discover the musical atmosphere and bewitching rhythms of the chacarera and zamba found in the Santiago del Estero province, in Argentina’s Gran Chaco. The town of La Banda, where Fernando Leguero and Mariana Juarez come from, is considered a breeding ground for poets and singers. Numerous compositions from the Argentinian repertoire have been written by artists who come from here. With its European, African and Amerindian roots, the ‘santiagueno’ repertoire encourages people to dance in festivals and parties across Argentina.
