Flamenco singing
With Yolanda Almodovar
Open to all levels – from beginners to advanced – this flamenco singing class covers the basic techniques through to the more complicated ones :
- Vocal techniques
- Voice projection
- Breathing
- Voice modulation techniques
- Letras (lyrics) and palos (styles of song: tangos alegrias, bulerias, etc), rhythm and palmas (rhythmic hand clapping)
- An accompanying guitarist is also available for classes.
Yolanda was born in Ciudad Real (Spain) and now lives in Lausanne. From a family of artists, Yolanda began singing at a very young age with her mother, who was a professional singer.
She completed her training in flamenco singing at the Amor de Dios school in Madrid and then polished her vocal technique at the Cristina Heerem School in Seville, as well as with several Andalucían singers. Yolanda has been performing across Europe for over twenty years and also teaches vocal technique.
