SENEGALESE SABAR AND SAORUBA
Percussionist and dancer Nago Koité comes from the prestigious Kouyaté and Sène griot lines. He studied Senegalese rhythms and dances, as well as ritual rhythms, in Mbour. Currently the professor of corporal expression at Berlin’s Universität der Künste, Nago has vast teaching and artistic experience. Students will discover the rhythms of sabar, saoruba and djembé.
