MANDINKA DANCES

Fatim Berthé learnt dancing in a Malian village from her father, the renowned djembe player Mao Khalifa Berthé. She taught her art in the village, attracting students from Europe and the USA. Fatim will guide you through the traditional dance rhythms: the beginners' workshop will focus on Malian rhythms; the advanced classes will look at other popular choreographies.
