Jamba was born in Mongolia to family of renowned musicians. Introduced to the traditional repertoire at a young age, he completed his musical training at the University of Oulan-Bator. An expert overtone singer (khöömei), he masters many instruments from the Mongolian tradition, including flutes, drums and the goat’s head fiddle. He has toured across Europe since 1997 and is part of the group Transmongolia, who are based in Germany. He regularly teaches at the side of Hosoo, a great singing master, as he hones his formidable experience. Transmongolia's Website
