Cristo Cortés was born in Marseille in 1971 to a Gitan family originally from the region of Almeria. From the age of six, he distinguished himself at marriages and family juergas. He has now performed all over the world for more than twenty years as a soloist and accompanist for dance.

A consummate artist, he is known as the greatest flamenco singer in France. He is sought after by a number of artists around the world for his unique timbre, long performance experience and personal qualities.
