Devoted to his culture, Evangelos is part of the Elkelam dance troupe, which has participated in numerous festivals across the globe, including within the framework of our Cretan dance and music festival in 2015. In addition to folk dances, he trains in contemporary and classical dance and works as a teacher. He has stayed in Geneva for several months at a time and contributed to the enrichment of the C.H.E.F group’s repertoire, which is dedicated to Hellenic culture.

In this workshop he takes a festive approach to the diverse dances of Thrace, Macedonia and Crete by studying the dance steps and their rhythmic complexity through break-down exercises that allow students of all levels to participate and express themselves. A wide variety of traditional Greek instruments accompany the workshop, which is given in English.
