Born in Olida, Pernambuco’s cultural and historic capital, Mestre Letho Nasciemento grew up in a universe mixed through with rhythms and cultures. He trained with the great mestres, repositories of the traditional art of maracatu, who awarded him with the title of ‘Mestre’ in 2010. Immersed in candomblé (sacred Afro-Brazilian rhythm), he developed his own method for transposing the rhythms of its sacred instruments. This workshop facilitates the discovery of the sacred rhythms linked to each divinity, using different instruments including the alfaia and timbão drum, the bell and the agbê maracas.
