Born in Bulgaria where she trained from a young age in traditional song, Tzvetanka Varimezova now teaches at UCLA. She has led an international career as part of prestigious ensembles and recorded several albums, and is gifted with a brilliant tone and exceptional charisma. She directs and supervises several choirs across the globe, including Nabila Schwab’s choir in Geneva. This workshop is an opportunity to tackle several songs from the traditional Bulgarian repertoire, with a focus on regional styles, polyphonic configurations and vocal range. This workshop is for those who are accustomed to singing.
