From his childhood in Jerez, Joaquin Grilo began a formidable trajectory as a dancer, which led him to the world stage at fifteen. A soloist in Paco de Lucia’s company from 1994-1999, he has also collaborated with Vincente Amigo, Duquende, Miguel Poveda… With prodigious technique and musical virtuosity, he has developed a style that is both personal and responsive to tradition. He has directed his own company since 1999, his shows are seen as major flamenco events and he has been awarded the most prestigious distinctions. A renowned teacher, he guides students in their search for authentic expression.
