RUSSIAN PATRIARCATE CHOIR OF MOSCOW
Russian liturgic songs
13 singers directed by Anatoly Grindenko
Founded in 1983 by Anatoly Grindenko, the Russian Patriarchate Choir of Moscow has regularly performed its interpretations of old Russian motets worldwide. Active in the orthodox liturgy, it also researches into old musical manuscripts, which entails restoring old songs to their former glory.
Born in Kharkov, Anatoly Grindenko studied music in Saint Petersburg and Moscow. After a career as an instrumentalist, he turned towards the religious arts. He has recorded around twenty well-respected CDs with his choir.
