Lecture by Pierre Jonneret

Pierre Jonneret studied art history in Geneva before learning Byzantine song under Vassilis Nonis and Lycourgos Angelopoulos during his stays in Greece. His musical practice and knowledge includes the Russian, Byzantine and Ottoman traditions.

Illustrated with many musical examples, Pierre's talk will explore the spread of liturgic and orthodox singing, from Constantinople through to the Slavic nations.
