Guitars and percussion of Northeastern Brazil

Banzo, in Portuguese, evokes the melancholy of Brazil’s slaves, ripped from their native Africa. It is expressed here in a mix of percussive energy and guitar harmonies. From samba to Villa-Lobos, Banzo invites us to discover a rich universe that interweaves the origins of Brazilian music and a contemporary approach, which favours improvisation and creativity.

Mario Caribé, Luiz De Aquino, Alê Prade : guitares

Edmundo Carneiro : tambours atabaque
