MORE INFOIndian Extravaganza at MEG
The reopening of MEG presents new opportunities for the Ateliers d’ethnomusicologie, and is the promise of stimulating new partnership. For if the role of an ethnography museum is to make us aware of the cultural diversity of humanity, the integration of a live show into such a place becomes self-evident.
Indian Kathakali theatre enjoys a reputation that goes well beyond its borders. This art takes us to the depths of ancient Hindu epics through its engaging aesthetic. The Prana Company offers a broad introduction with two shows, a demonstration-talk, two films and three introductory music and dance workshops: a rare occasion to become familiar with this prodigious universe.
