JOURNEY TO INDIA

Children discover the sacred universe of kathak through the mudras (hand movements) and rhythmics of the feet. This North Indian classical dance stages traditional India tales to the rhythm of the tablas (percussion). The kids will also be introduced, through games and contemporary methods, to the most ancient musical tradition of North India (dhrupad), alternating sung poems and phases of improvisation. The journey continues with diverse workshops: making ghunghurus (ankle bells), a show, art, a visit to the Musée d’ethnographie (MEG), film….
