THE EPIC OF THE STEPPES

Patrick Fischmann and Michel Abraham : chant, luth tovshuur, vièle morin khuur, briningam, shruti-box, guimbarde, flûte, tambour...

With an immense landscape of steppes, mountains and deserts, from the Altai mountains to the Gobi Desert, Mongolia is one the largest countries with a prominent shamanic tradition. Patrick Fischmann and Michel Abraham take us to the legendary lands where man is both the son of the wolf and the brother of camels, horses and marmots; the blind bard swears he is a clairvoyant; a shaman’s son saves Khan’s daughter and the wolf-man becomes a princess’s companion.

Songs, which are omnipresent, bear witness to human beings’ celestial origins and the mysteries behind the tales and legends. In these unique stories, bards, heroes, shamans, stars, animals, magicians and chiefs interact. These parables are captured and carried by spellbinding music and are accompanied by the sounds of the ‘goat’s head fiddle’, the lute, the Jew’s harp, horn and the Mongolian flute.

Spectacle tout public dès 6 ans – Durée : 1h15
