Originally from Congo Brazzaville, the Makouaya brothers met Ignatus upon their arrival in France and have regularly collaborated with him since – creating programmes together, and collaborating on several albums and cultural action projects.  For this show, the three artists playfully describe their meeting and demonstrate the different approaches of African and European musicians to their instruments, the transmission of knowledge, the scoring of music, to harmonic and rhythmic elements and so on. Little by little, they marry their music and dance steps. It’s a show that is funny, vibrant and instructive.
