The lady of Tamazight song, Hadda Ouakki, has performed since the sixties at various ceremonies in the Middle Atlas region. Gifted with a powerful voice, she personifies the oral ancestral tradition. She excels in moving from low to high pitch within a couplet, which is one of the characteristics of Tamazight singing. She also adorns her vocals with a cappella (timawayin) and has great range.
