Moroccan director Izza Genini’s latest documentary follows the history of Arabo-Andalousian music and its transmission across cultures. Today, we find traces of medieval troubadours, Sephardi music and Muwashahat mixed into the Moroccan nuba. The film shows Genini’s intimacy with this music, as she plunges into the colourful world of Moroccan nuba and its performers.
