Nelson Rojas - Bulenga

Nelson Rojas has written all the songs on this album and generally accompanies himself on the bass, rarely on the guitar.  He maintains that in his creative process, inspiration takes precedence over the desire to compose.  In this regard, he uses the analogy of the growth of a baby; at a certain moment, he feels that a song is going to be born and that he needs to dedicate some time to it: “At first a tune lodges itself in my head; then the words materialise progressively with the melody; then come the rhythms and finally the harmonies fall into place.  This is the way it works for me, particularly for arrangements, but I never decide to compose”.
