Sita Sings the Blues is a joyous, fantastic and multi-coloured animated film. This version of the Ramayana epic takes on the musical genre and immerses us in Indian mythology with the story of Sita, wife of the god Rama and prisoner of the demon Ravana. Directed by Nina Paley, this comic interpretation of Indian mysticism is comprised of sketches which blend humour with different styles of animation.
