Sankoum Cissokho, his brother Djeli Mady and their nephew Moussa belong to a family of griots from Dakar. Music, and particularly the playing of the kora, has always been a part of their lives. This harp-lute consists of 21 strings stretched across a resonator made of gourd and taut skin. It is an instrument of refined music, the subtleties of which will be revealed by the three performers. For their first Geneva concert with this line up, Kora Trio will delight us with their creative vision of the vocal and instrumental patrimony that is anchored in the Senegalese tradition.
