‘Isole’ (islands) was born from an encounter between one Sardinian and two Sicilian musicians in search of their roots. Both islands have suffered numerous invasions – Greek, Roman, Arabic, Spanish – that have all left their mark on local culture and music. Marina, Massimo and Salvatore invite us on a journey to their homelands, accompanied by a sea breeze. From traditional songs and original compositions to polyphonies, percussion and a cappella, they bring us heroic exploits, legends and love songs.
