World Groove from Senegal

Singer and bass-player Ibra Mbaye learnt his craft in the streets of Dakar. He has played with a range of fantastic musicians from Senegal and Switzerland, including  Djéli Mady Kouyaté and Youssou Ndour.  He released his first album, Xarit (friendship) in 2013. His Senegalese- influenced compositions are a cocktail of afro rhythms, jazz, funk and soul. Sweet melodies, boundless grooves and contagious energy!
