Gifted with a clear and subtle voice, Kara Sylla Ka has established himself as the representative of an exploratory Senegalese music. A unique performer, he identifies with Ali Farka Touré’s music just as well as John Lee Hooker’s blues. This programme, a homage to Senegalese blues and a first for Geneva, introduces us to other facets of Kara’s music and promises an evening of rare intensity.
