As the blues of the East and the hymn of the underclass, Rebekito holds a certain mystique. Born in the taverns and prisons of the Piraeus, it absorbed a variety of musical influences and developed a diverse repertoire. Anna Koti and the Rebeteke trio introduce us to this before weaving in Django Reinhardt’s manouche music.
