Hanoi Eclipse depicts the challenge proffered by the Vietnamese orchestra Dai Lam Linh, filmed during its creation and performances in Hanoi. The group’s intention was to develop music of experimental sounds and often provocative lyrics.

The group was founded by the composer Dai in conjunction with the singers Lam and Linh – with the goal of breaking taboos in mind. The film follows Dai Lam Linh’s creative process, which leads to the recording of their first album and an inaugural concert at the Opera of Hanoi.
