with one another, all the while Mishra himself was in constant
verbal dialogue with the live musicians. This was one co-ordinated
individual, who succeeded in capturing the audience with his

There is much to learn and enjoy about professional dance
performances such as this; they give us a glimpse into the
illusory performing arts world, and for a brief moment we
leave reality behind in the theatre foyer.

Multicultural Performance - Kathak and Flamenco
The
audience came out wiht a fulfilment of fabulous harmony of
two cultures at the Cité Bleue. A superb performance
of Indian and Spanish dance and music. (...) Both the dancers
and musicians excelled each other in the true spirit of inter-cultural
harmony in music and dance. (...) It was such a balance approach
so befitting to the international spirit of Geneva.(...)

In recent times, no other city in UP has been producing so
many rising young dancers, musicians,and percussionists as
Varanasi has. Last evening's programme highlighted this point.
It speaks volumes for the exuberance and dedication of the
two young dancers Mata Prasad Misra, and Ravi Shankar Misra,
(known as "Priya Bandhu"), (...) the duo gave scintillating
display of Benaras Kathak with all its vibrancy and talyari.
(...) Endowed with lithe and pleasing stage personalities,
the two brothers tranined thoroughly in the Benaras style
of Katrhak, under the late Smt. Alaknanda Devi (sister of
Sitaradevi) and the late Pande Maharaj and Panchu Maharaj,
presented the pure style of their gharana through uthhan,
chaakkardar bols, a few charming gats, ginti ke tukde, and
jet-speed tatkat with a great sense of joy. (...)
