This documentary was filmed in Nzalia, Tanzania, the village where the Wagogo live. A series of sequence shots provide the film’s structure and show the importance of music in the everyday life of this people. Day or night, in each season, a song, dance or rhythm is there to support and mark the significant  events of life. This film serves as an excellent introduction to the concert of the Wagogo musicians and dancers that follows.

Selection of the Festival de films des îles Canaries, of the African Film Festival of New York, of the Black International Cinema Berlin XXVII and of the Festival des Films du Monde de Montréal.


After the film, attend at 5.30pm the concert NYATI, Songs and dances of the Wagogo from Tanzania.
