THE PATHS OF THE LABYRINTH

In 1982, the Irish musician Ross Daly founded the Labyrinth Musical Workshop. From its inception, the aim was to initiate young musicians in the musical traditions of the world – essentially those from the East and with a Mediterranean feel – using a creative approach. Since 2002, this centre has been located in the Cretan village of Houdetsi. Every year he presents an ensemble of workshops and concerts during summer, led by teachers of international repute, that are offered to students from across the globe. During the lecture, Ross shares the fruits of this intercultural experience with us.
