Milo ke Mandarini

Milo ke Mandarini was founded by Carlos Ramírez and Isabel Martín in an effort to encourage exploration of Mediterranean music’s roots. During numerous trips to Greece, Bulgaria and Turkey, they were immersed in the culture of these countries, and gained a wider perspective on music that enriched their experience of the Spanish tradition and gave it context. The collaboration with musicians Miriam Encinas and Christos Barbas contributed further depth to the sound palette of the ensemble. The quartet presents an original approach to the Mediterranean musical traditions, one that is both creative and respectful of the particularities of each culture.
